The Winter Olympics kicked off last Friday, and I'll spend the next several weeks watching some of the world's greatest athletes compete for medals, including Paralympians. Of course, I'm cheering on Team USA, but I also love seeing smaller countries earn their very first podium finishes—it gets me every time. 

My must-watch events are figure skating, speed skating, luge, bobsleigh, and curling. And even though I'm not a huge hockey fan, I'll still be rooting for the U.S. team. Oh—and did you see they added ski mountaineering this year? That one sounds intense, so I'll definitely be checking it out too.
